Physics students build Rube Goldberg machines
February 23, 2017
The Physics (I) class was challenged to build Rube Goldberg machines that would “complete a simple task in the most roundabout, convoluted and unique way possible using physics.” Those working alone had to incorporate six unique steps in their device, and partners had to incorporate eight. Students brought in their projects on Feb. 23. Here are just a few:
Juniors Gracie Blue and Caroline Ramirez created a jungle-themed project.
Juniors Chris Hellinger and Dylan May built in plenty of twists and turns.
Below is junior Bettyann Leonard’s Rube Goldberg piece.
Junior Katharine Duffy paid homage to The Office.
